Welcome to LRN Cycling Ltd. These Terms & Conditions explain the arrangements, responsibilities and expectations associated with using our website, booking our services and participating in our cycling activities.

By making a booking or participating in an organised activity, customers agree to the applicable terms, subject to their statutory rights.

1. About LRN Cycling

LRN Cycling Ltd is a UK-based cycling business focused on bringing cyclists together, exploring new destinations and making cycling experiences more accessible.

Our services include:

• Organising social and community cycling rides.

• Coordinating UK and overseas cycling experiences.

• Sourcing and arranging accommodation bookings.

• Preparing suggested cycling routes and itineraries.

• Providing bicycle travel case hire.

• Sharing cycling-related travel information and recommendations.

The specific services included in each booking will be confirmed before payment.

2. Our Role & Responsibilities

LRN Cycling Ltd primarily operates as an organiser and coordinator of cycling-related experiences.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we do not provide professional cycling coaching, individually supervised riding, mechanical assistance, medical support or guaranteed guided tours.

Our responsibilities relate to the services we have agreed to provide and any duties imposed by applicable law.

Customers and participants remain responsible for their independent decisions, actions, personal equipment and preparation.

Nothing in these terms removes LRN Cycling's responsibility where it has breached a legal or contractual duty.

3. Cycling Holidays & Accommodation Bookings

LRN Cycling arranges accommodation and prepares suggested cycling routes for individuals and groups wishing to explore cycling destinations.

Our coordination services may include:

• Researching and selecting accommodation options.

• Communicating with hotels, villas or accommodation providers.

• Coordinating group accommodation arrangements.

• Collecting customer payments.

• Paying accommodation providers.

• Planning suggested cycling routes.

• Sharing destination information and café recommendations.

Accommodation Payments

Customers pay LRN Cycling Ltd the agreed total booking price for their accommodation arrangements.

LRN Cycling then arranges payment to the relevant accommodation provider.

Before confirmation, customers will be informed of the accommodation details, total price, payment conditions and applicable cancellation policy.

We will also explain whether LRN Cycling is acting as a disclosed booking agent or the contractual supplier of the accommodation.

Accommodation Responsibility

Where LRN Cycling acts solely as a disclosed booking agent, the identified accommodation provider will ordinarily be responsible for delivering the accommodation under the customer's contract with that provider.

LRN Cycling remains responsible for carrying out its own booking services with reasonable care and skill.

Where LRN Cycling is the contractual accommodation supplier or is legally treated as a package organiser, the applicable additional responsibilities will apply.

4. Independent Travel Arrangements

Unless expressly included in a booking, customers are responsible for independently arranging:

• Flights and airport transfers.

• Travel to and from their destination.

• Bicycle transportation and airline baggage arrangements.

• Meals and personal expenses.

• Travel insurance.

• Any additional activities or services not included in the booking.

LRN Cycling is not responsible for independently purchased third-party services where it has no contractual or legal responsibility for them.

5. Cycling Routes & Suggested Itineraries

LRN Cycling may provide recommended cycling routes, GPX files, approximate distances, elevation profiles, suggested ride times and café stops.

These are prepared to help participants plan and enjoy their cycling experience.

Unless otherwise stated, routes are suggestions rather than individually supervised or professionally guided activities.

Participants are responsible for:

• Assessing the suitability of each route.

• Checking road and weather conditions.

• Complying with local traffic laws.

• Riding within their individual abilities.

• Making their own decisions about whether to participate.

LRN Cycling takes reasonable care when preparing information but cannot guarantee that routes will remain free from traffic, hazards, closures or changing conditions.

6. Organised Social Rides

LRN Cycling organises social rides designed to bring cyclists together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Unless specifically advertised otherwise, these are informal group rides rather than professional coaching sessions or individually supervised events.

Participants are responsible for:

• Ensuring they are physically capable of completing the advertised ride.

• Maintaining a roadworthy bicycle.

• Wearing a suitable cycling helmet.

• Following the Highway Code and local regulations.

• Riding safely and respecting other road users.

• Carrying appropriate nutrition, hydration and repair equipment.

• Assessing their own ability to continue riding.

Published speeds, routes and distances are estimates and may vary.

Group participation does not guarantee that riders will remain together throughout an event.

7. Participant Risk Acknowledgement

Cycling involves inherent risks, including:

• Road traffic accidents and collisions.

• Falls and personal injuries.

• Mechanical failures.

• Adverse weather.

• Unpredictable road conditions.

• Incidents involving other participants or road users.

By choosing to participate, riders acknowledge these risks and agree to take reasonable responsibility for their own preparation, conduct, equipment and riding decisions.

Participation remains voluntary.

This acknowledgement does not remove any legal responsibilities owed by LRN Cycling.

8. Liability & Limitations

LRN Cycling Ltd's role is primarily to coordinate and facilitate the services described in each booking.

We are not responsible for accidents, damage or losses arising solely from:

• A participant's independent riding decisions or actions.

• Misuse or improper maintenance of personal equipment.

• The independent actions of other road users.

• Circumstances outside our control where we have not breached a legal duty.

• Third-party services independently purchased by customers and for which we have no legal responsibility.

LRN Cycling does not guarantee individual supervision during social rides or independently undertaken cycling activities.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.

We remain responsible for exercising reasonable care and skill in providing our services.

Where LRN Cycling has statutory responsibilities as a travel organiser, those responsibilities take precedence over any inconsistent wording in these terms.

9. Package Travel Regulations

Certain combinations of accommodation and cycling-related travel services may constitute a package holiday or linked travel arrangement under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Where those regulations apply, LRN Cycling will comply with its statutory obligations.

These may include:

• Providing required pre-contract information.

• Responsibility for the proper performance of included travel services.

• Applicable cancellation and refund rights.

• Assistance to travellers.

• Appropriate insolvency protection.

No provision in these terms reduces or removes customers' statutory package travel protections.

10. Bike Box Hire

LRN Cycling offers Bike Box Alan hard-shell bicycle travel cases for hire.

Hire Prices

• 1 week: £50

• 2 weeks: £100

• Refundable security deposit: £100

Additional hire durations may be available by arrangement.

Collection & Returns

Bike boxes are available for collection from Parley, Bournemouth, Dorset.

Collection and return dates will be agreed when booking.

Customers are responsible for returning the bike box by the agreed date with all supplied components.

Care & Usage

Customers must:

• Handle the bike box with reasonable care.

• Follow the manufacturer's packing guidance.

• Secure their bicycle appropriately.

• Check airline baggage restrictions.

• Notify LRN Cycling promptly of loss or damage.

• Return the case in substantially the same condition, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.

Customers may be liable for reasonable repair or replacement costs where damage or loss results from misuse, negligence or failure to take reasonable care.

Security Deposits

The £100 security deposit will be refunded following return and inspection, subject to any properly evidenced and reasonable deductions for which the customer is responsible.

Any deductions will be explained.

The deposit does not affect customers' statutory rights.

11. Booking Confirmation & Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by LRN Cycling.

Customers must provide accurate contact and booking information.

Before payment, customers will receive the relevant total price, inclusions, payment conditions and cancellation terms.

A booking is confirmed once LRN Cycling has accepted it and issued confirmation.

12. Cancellations, Amendments & Refunds

We understand that circumstances and travel plans may change.

Cancellation and amendment conditions will depend on the service booked.

For accommodation bookings, the applicable accommodation provider's cancellation conditions and LRN Cycling's responsibilities will be communicated before confirmation.

For bike box hire, the agreed booking cancellation terms and applicable statutory rights will apply.

Cancellation charges will be fair and proportionate, taking account of the circumstances and reasonable costs incurred.

Where LRN Cycling cancels a service it is responsible for providing, customers will receive the remedies required by their contract and applicable law.

Customers should contact us promptly if they wish to amend or cancel a booking.

13. Insurance

Customers are strongly advised to arrange suitable insurance for cycling activities and travel.

Depending on the booking, this may include:

• Travel and medical insurance.

• Cycling accident cover.

• Bicycle theft and damage cover.

• Bicycle transportation cover.

• Holiday cancellation insurance.

Any mandatory insurance requirements for a particular trip will be clearly communicated before booking.

14. Conduct & Community Standards

LRN Cycling is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and respectful cycling community.

Participants are expected to treat fellow riders, organisers, accommodation providers and other road users respectfully.

Dangerous, abusive, discriminatory or deliberately reckless behaviour will not be accepted.

Where necessary and reasonable, LRN Cycling may refuse participation in an activity or remove a participant from an event for serious safety or conduct concerns.

Any refund consequences will be assessed fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

15. Changes to Routes, Events & Arrangements

Routes and activity schedules may need to change due to weather, safety concerns, road closures or other operational circumstances.

Where reasonably necessary, LRN Cycling may amend meeting points, suggested routes or activity timings.

Any material changes to booked travel services will be managed in accordance with the customer's contractual and statutory rights.

16. Website & Intellectual Property

All original LRN Cycling branding, logos, photography, written content and other intellectual property belong to LRN Cycling Ltd or the relevant rights holders.

Content must not be reproduced or used commercially without appropriate permission.

We aim to keep our website accurate and up to date but may make corrections or updates when necessary.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

LRN Cycling respects the privacy of customers and participants.

Personal information collected through our website, booking forms and communication channels will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.

Information may be used to manage bookings, communicate important details and provide requested services.

Further details will be provided in our separate Privacy Policy.

18. Complaints & Customer Support

We aim to provide a positive experience for every customer.

If you have a concern regarding a booking, accommodation arrangement, hire service or cycling activity, please contact LRN Cycling with the relevant information.

We will review concerns fairly and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update our Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, operational arrangements or applicable legal requirements.

Updated versions will be published on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively remove contractual or statutory rights relating to existing confirmed bookings.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting mandatory consumer protections or applicable jurisdiction rights.
